ModernART paints Kliptown pink
On 4th September the ModernART team hosted an activation in Kliptown Soweto.
The team, dressed in bright pink T-shirts set up at the local taxi rank and spoke to hundreds of community members about the latest developments in HIV treatment.
ModernART hosts activations every month where our volunteers take to the streets with information to educate communities about starting antiretroviral therapy (ART) and what to expect as they start their ART journey.
Forty-three year old Sifiso from Kliptown said: “This is so important, our people need information, there are too many people who still don’t know about HIV and think it is just a disease for women”
Sifiso was one of many community members who received our latest information booklets and learned about our app and website.
