Modern ART heads to Ethekwini (Durban)
On 3 December 2021, the Modern ART activation squad descended upon Durban to host several activations, as well as to attend the ICASA Conference.
Due to a spike in COVID-19 cases the conference went fully virtual, this gave the activation squad an opportunity to host even more activations.
During this week, we piloted our latest mural which shows the various types TLD (tenofovir, lamivudine and dolutegravir fixed-dose combination tablets) in South Africa. The idea behind this mural was to assure HIV treatment users that, despite medications coming in different bottles, shapes and colours, they are still the same thing.
The activation squad also distributed our latest and newest information resources that detail information about COVID-19 and the various vaccines available in South Africa. Those manufactured by Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer/BioNTech.
In 2022 we look forward to heading out to even more provinces to bring you the latest information on HIV treatment and adherence.
